Partner at Fermín & Asociados and Director of the firm's Real Estate Unit, Cristina Fernández provides advice to public and private real estate projects in the Dominican Republic, supporting the main developers, landowners, concessionaires and real estate investment funds, among other relevant players in the sector.
He advises clients on all aspects of corporate law, including the incorporation, management and administration of companies and branches, advice on conflicts between partners, investment vehicles and corporate reorganizations. He also assists in the drafting, negotiation and termination of commercial contracts of all kinds, such as distribution schemes, joint ventures, franchises, sales, among others; and has extensive experience in prevention, compliance and regulatory law in various industries.
Graduated with a degree in Law (1988) from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), Santiago campus. She completed a postgraduate degree in Civil Procedural Law (2002) and received a Master's degree in Corporate and Commercial Law (1997), both from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. She also holds a Master's degree in Land Legislation from the Open University for Adults.
